Levantay a New York/California based singer/songwriter hailing from culturally rich Jamaica, is a soul-searching songstress with an edge. She found her style while merging Jamaican Dancehall with Pop music and creating songs with a message. Her latest single “Shy Guy” produced by Paul Christie (also known as Pablo) for Ultra Beam Records, and distributed by Zojack Media was released on November 24, 2017. The single, is both revitalizing and refreshing and something we have yet to hear from the singer. Levantay and Christie teamed up this year to create the long awaited track which showcases Levantay’s sultry vocals over a blend of soulful Jamaican roots, rock and reggae rhythms to create an effortless, yet seductive vibe. The song is already being played in the Czech Republic, UK, USA, Australia and Jamaica. Levantay defined herself as a solo artist with the 2010 debut of her first single “Do Yuh Ting” that reached number 51 on the Findland iTunes charts. Levantay has been immersing herself in music and stage performance all of her life. She started her vocal studies in high school and continued at the prestigious Ashe Caribbean Performing Art Ensemble & Academy. She was also a member of the Brooklyn College Ensemble. Levantay’s stage experience includes opening up concerts for such Dancehall and Reggae international legends as Beres Hammond, Marcia Griffiths and Beenie Man. Levantay is not just a recording artist she is also a college professor and success coach who combines her on stage charisma with personal stories and music to deliver dynamic inspirational messages. Levantay was featured as an emerging artist at the 2011 Caribbean Music Conference in N.Y. and selected as New, Now, Next artist for Carib Gold in 2012. Levantay is former Ms. Jamaica N.Y. (2006).
